Description

Lasik is a 5 minute painless procedure to reduce one's dependency on eyeglasses and contact lenses. A flap is created with a microkeratome blade on the surface of the cornea, and lifted. The excimer laser is then used to contour the inner cornea in a customized fashion. The flap is then returned into position and dried on the edges. The flap seals in place without sutures, the patient receives post-operative drops, and the surgery is finished. The patient is able to see immediately.
